TAPA is looking forwarding to hosting PAs from across the state and nation at our 46th Annual FallFest continuing medical education (CME) conference. The conference will be held Monday, Oct. 3 through Friday, Oct. 7 at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, located at the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (GSMNP) – the most visited national park in the United States.

Conference Program

TAPA’s CME Committee is hard at work planning a terrific agenda with top-notch speakers. Join us in October to learn about the newest advances in medicine, including the latest treatment guidelines and therapeutic advances. Many individual lectures are specifically developed in accordance with the NCCPA Content Blueprint in order to assist PAs and PA students in preparing for the NCCPA certification/recertification exam, so we hope you will find the agenda beneficial to your practice.

If you haven’t been to FallFest in several years, we hope to see you this year. If you come to FallFest each year, TAPA looks forward to hosting you again as you make new memories and visit your favorite places.

Student Track

TAPA is pleased to once again offer programming specifically geared toward PA students. Join us on Monday, Oct. 3 for the Student Track. The day will begin with student-specific lectures in the morning. In the afternoon, students will be split into two sessions where they will enter a multipurpose room and take turns practicing hands-on procedures at stations around the room. The Committee is planning to offer casting, suturing, ultrasound techniques, and joint injections. The day will conclude with TAPA’s Annual Challenge Bowl, where teams from PA programs from across the state will compete against one another and show off their clinical knowledge. Annual Poster Session

Each year at FallFest, TAPA gives PAs and PA students the opportunity to present their research to their colleagues during the Annual Poster Session. Posters are displayed Monday through Wednesday, and authors are present to talk about and answer questions regarding their work during breakfast from 7-8 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Click here to download the Poster Session guidelines if you are interested in presenting this year.
